During the month of May, 81,343 passengers flew out of Wichita Eisenhower National Airport. This was 13% higher than May 2022 and marked the second-highest May on record. 2019 holds the record for the most passengers in May, with 85,022 enplanements. Through May, enplanements have reached 95% of 2019 levels. A total of 157,794 passengers flew in and out of ICT in May, an increase of nearly 17% over 2022.
Food and gift concession receipts increased nearly 16% and parking lot revenue increased 25%. Rental cars, however, showed a 3% decrease for the month.
Air cargo continued its downward trend. Outbound cargo fell 5.73% and inbound fell 1.92%. For the year, cargo is down 8%.
