The Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites combination hotel under construction at Eisenhower National Airport has achieved a significant milestone this week with the completion of the roof. Work will now commence on drywall and other interior finishes, while exterior work continues. Although there may not appear to be much activity from the outside, more than 14 different contractor companies will be on-site to finish the dual-branded hotel.
Each brand of hotel will have 80 rooms with Hilton Garden Inn along the north and west sides, and Homewood Suites along the east and south sides. A shared lobby and check-in area will be utilized for both brands. A shared workout center and pool will be available to all guests.
