Passengers flying out of Wichita Eisenhower National Airport increased 74.87% in January over the previous year, with 45,734 enplanements. This compares to 26,153 in January 2021. A total of 93,307 passengers flew in and out of ICT, an increase of 70.68% over the previous year.
Capacity increased considerably over last year. There were 801 scheduled flights, an increase of 31.7%, and 72,828 scheduled seats, an increase of 53.7%. The Allegiant service to St. Petersburg and Orlando-Sanford was new this January which boosted demand.
Outgoing air cargo tonnage fell 12.22% and incoming fell 17.73%. General aviation activity was strong, increasing 38.71% over last January.
Concession revenue also increased substantially. Food and gift receipts were up 86.41%, rental cars up 69.61%, and parking revenue up 90.49%.
