Wichita Eisenhower National Airport officials on Tuesday announced a new record for the most passengers in a month – 158,381 – during the month of July. The number accounts for passengers flying in and out of the airport. The previous record occurred in July 2007 with 156,560 total passengers.
The July passenger numbers represents a 9.28% increase over July 2014, and a 1% increase over July 2007.
“The new record is more impressive since there were 3% more seats and 265 more flights in July 2007,” said airport official Valerie Wise. Following is a breakdown of comparisons between July 2007 and July 2015:

“We have heard that people are eager to fly out of the new terminal,” said Victor White, Director of Airports. “This record was achieved because of our five great airline partners: Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. Many thanks to the passengers who flew in July.”
