After eight months of steady traffic growth, September saw a pause at Eisenhower National Airport, recording 146,366 passengers—a slight 0.16% decrease compared to last year’s figures for the month. Hurricanes in the southeastern U.S. likely dampened demand.
So far this year, 1,349,818 passengers have passed through ICT, marking a 6.49% increase over 2023 and a 3.3% rise from 2019, which was a record-setting year.
Air Service at ICT has a significant impact on the Kansas economy. When demand is strong, airlines respond by adding flights and expanding destination options, which strengthens the region’s business appeal and talent recruitment.
Revenue from food and gift sales increased 1.2% and parking revenue increased 27%. Rental car revenue was flat.
Outgoing cargo had a significant drop of 34% from last September. Incoming cargo also fell nearly 27%.
